Clown Series: Inspirado

So this was part of my midterm emulation project for my photography course. I chose to emulate Diane Arbus. For those of you who don't know, her most famous photographs are of circus freaks and the like. So, since my friends and I dress up in our clown suits most of the time anyway, I decided to shoot a roll of them in attempt to interpret the style of Arbus. I think it turned out pretty well and the idea actually sparked the inspiration for my final project, which simply put is "clowns doing everyday things". There is in fact meaning behind it, mind you, but I'll get to that later. In the next few weeks I will upload the remaining clown photographs that I have chosen to print -- keep an eye out, I guess. So, folks, this is the suitable commencement for what I'm calling my "Clown Series". Oh, and I know that about 1 in 4 people are scared shitless by clowns, so for those of you who are, just deal with the fact that this one and the others will be categorized under "Humorous" art photography.
